Find Us - Getting to CSZPublic TransportationWe are easily accessible via the following public transportation lines:
MapClick here for a map of our synagogue, and to get driving directions from your location. ParkingWe do not have a parking lot, and street parking in our neighborhood can be very, very difficult. There is a paid parking lot one half block from the 16th Street BART station, on Hoff Street, a small street between Mission and Valencia, accessible from 16th or 17th Streets. During service times on Friday nights and Saturday mornings, we have requested that the San Francisco Department of Parking and Traffic (DPT) not ticket cars parked along the median on Dolores Street between 14th and 16th Streets. A note explaining that the vehicle's owner is attending religious services is available in the synagogue lobby; we suggest you place one of these notes on your dashboard. If you park along the median, please move the orange cones (when available) behind the last car in line to warn oncoming traffic that the lane is blocked. We cannot guarantee that you won't be ticketed while parked on the median, but DPT is generally accommodating on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings (and on Sunday mornings when neighborhood churches also park there). During weekdays and weeknights, however, you are very likely to get a ticket if you park on the median. TaxisOne of the best places to hail a cab on the street seems to be the intersection of 16th Street and Valencia Street, two blocks away from CSZ. You might also have luck on Market Street at Dolores Street. The chances of hailing a cab on 16th Street and Dolores Street are slim. Taxi pickup can be ordered by phone from: Yellow Cab: 415-333-3333 Please note that taxis can very difficult to obtain in San Francisco on Friday evenings. |
